Think you can’t play rugby in your Guide unit? You can! Think you need to be a fitness fanatic to help girls take part in sport? You don’t!

Even if you’ve never touched a rugby ball before our new partnership with Scottish Rugby can help you empower girls to enjoy the fun and fitness of sport!

What is Guides into Rugby?

With our Guides into Rugby programme you can train to deliver Scottish Rugby’s fun, non-contact Tartan Touch programme, allowing girls to get to grips with the basic of the game while developing their fitness, team work and leadership skills.

Who can get involved?

This opportunity is for volunteers. You don’t need any prior experience of rugby or sport in general to get involved – just enthusiasm! We’re launching this exciting new partnership to Guide units to start with but if you’re not a Guide leader you can still sign-up to  deliver Tartan Touch to Guide units in your area.

What will my unit get to do?

Guides into Rugby is split into 3 steps:

  1. Get exclusive training at one of our regional workshops. This is fun, informal no pressure day to meet other leaders, get to grips with Tartan Touch and get inspired!
  2. Put what you’ve learned into practice, going back to your unit or Guide units in your area to deliver fun Tartan Touch sessions.
  3. Celebrate with your unit! Participating leaders and units will have the chance to enjoy an exclusive, action-packed celebration event at BT Murrayfield.
