Sign up for Stage 1 today! Come join us in Stirling this January and start your ICE adventure.
ICE, which stands for International Community Experience, is an amazing three stage project open to girls age 11-13 which brings young members together from all over Scotland to have fun while doing something for others.
The project is designed to give girls the opportunity to think about their community, increase their global awareness, take part in community action work as well as an introduction to international adventures.
Girls who have taken part in the past have done everything from sorting donated clothes at a refugee crisis centre and planting trees to climbing, African drumming and so much more!
Who Can Take Part?
Guides can come along as a group (there’s no limit to the number of girls that can come from a unit) or guides can come as individuals, as everyone is guaranteed to make lots of new friends. They don’t need any previous camping experience but do need to come prepared to do a bit of work along with the fun activities.
Leaders don’t need to accompany their guides, as there is already a leadership team in place but there are a limited number of adult places available if leaders would like to join in. All participants must be at least 11 at time of Stage 1 and no older than 13 at the end of Stage 3. All participants must take part in Stage 1 to be eligible for stage 2 and 3 but do not have to commit to all three stages up front as girls can choose how many stages they’re comfortable taking part in.
