Autumn Adventures!

Summer might be over but there are so many reasons to get excited for autumn! From Halloween and Bonfire Night celebrations to doing awesome autumnal crafts, your unit are spoilt for choice this season.

Here are just some of the ways you can have a blast this term and get stuck into more Have Adventures activities from the new programme…

Get crafty

1. Soon all the beautiful brown, orange, red and yellow colours will start to appear so why not get crafting using this stunning autumn colour scheme? Get your girls to round up pine cones and create some cute characters using felt, pipe cleaners and paint or make seasonal wreaths using fallen leaves and twigs. We’ve popped more ideas on Pinterest for you to check out.

A Halloween theme

2. You could organise a big Halloween party for your unit and get your girls to make costumes, spooky themed treats and some eerie decorations together. Head over to our Pinterest for more inspiration.

Bonfire fun

3. Bonfire Night is just around the corner which can only mean one thing… get a bonfire going, break out the sparklers and toast some delicious s’mores. You could look into local firework displays happening in your County and all pop along or try and organise a camp that falls on the same night.

Go on a scavenger hunt

4. Autumn is a fantastic time to go on a scavenger hunt with your unit! All you have to do is come up with a sheet full of autumnal finds like conkers and red berries then challenge the girls to get outdoors and find them all. You could include ‘bonus’ challenges where they have to make something out of what they gather up. Find out more here and get ready to get stuck in.
