The Trefoil Guild is open to both men and women aged 18 years and upwards and consists mainly of women who have been in Guiding at some time in their lives and others who wish to support it in some way. This includes deciding where we can give practical, financial and moral support to Guiding in the County as well as run our own programme of events.

Alongside my County team, I am responsible for all aspects of the Guild activities within the County. This includes submitting reports of Guild activities for the County Publications and organising our participation in events.

BettyAs County Chair, I represent my County on the Scottish Trefoil Guild Executive Committee and am responsible for seeing that Central Council policy is carried out in the County. The fun part is participating in Girlguiding events and encouraging Trefoil Guild members to surprise themselves in trying new activities and skills.

Like most of my peers in the Trefoil Guild I've had several different roles in Guiding and therefore we bring many years of knowledge and experience of Guiding with us.

In all, I've had sixteen different roles in Guiding which started with becoming a Unit Guider in the late 50s right up to County Commissioner in the 90s.

It's such a superb idea, imagine companies still having access to the wealth of knowledge and expertise that otherwise disappears every time someone retires.

The Trefoil Guild is a support system be it practical or moral, if and where it is needed. From our point of view, those who do not have the time to be involved in active Guiding or who are over 65 and unable to be leaders, are still very much a part of Guiding and able to continue with the fun!

Being a member of The Trefoil Guild gives me the opportunity to renew friendships made over the years in Guiding and also make new friends not just at local level but throughout the UK and beyond.

After a "lifetime" in Guiding, *Dorothy joined the Trefoil Guild. Guiders were organising a visit to "Our Cabana" in Mexico, one of the World Guide Centres, and Dorothy was able to join the group. She had a marvellous experience, so much so that she visited Sangam in India the following year. Two opportunities which she experienced later in life by being a member of The Trefoil Guild.
