WAGGGS 34th Conference

World Conference 2011 - Edinburgh

Girlguiding UK is hosting the 34th World Conference for the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

The Conference will take place at the Edinburgh Conference Centre, Heriot Watt University, from 11 to 15 July 2011. The theme will be ‘100 years of changing lives’.

It is a great honour for this triennial event to be held in Scotland. It is the key decision-making body for WAGGGS. Each Member Organisation of WAGGGS can send two delegates and a varying number of observers to the conference, where they will vote on policies and standards for the following three years.

The Conference programme will offer those attending the opportunity to work together, learn from each other and develop partnerships for future projects.

After our Centenary celebrations have come to a close, the World Conference will give us a chance to welcome members from around the world to the UK as we showcase what Girlguiding is all about when we start our second century!

For more information on the conference visit the WAGGGS Website.
