The Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston will be alive with world song and dance over the weekend of the 20th and 21st February 2010 when 3,000 Rainbows, Brownies and Guides from all over Scotland attend the sell-out performing arts event One World One Beat, to celebrate the annual World Thinking Day in an extra special way during Girlguiding UK’s Centenary year. World Thinking Day (22 Feb) is an important anniversary in the international Guiding calendar when girls think about their colleagues around the globe. One World One Beat will be the biggest World Thinking Day event ever in the UK with over 18,000 girls and young women singing, dancing and celebrating together across nine venues UK-wide. The girls will take part in a series of fun, energetic and educational workshops based around the theme of world music, drama and dance. Workshops range from street theatre, didgeridoos and active rhythmology. This unique all girl event will culminate in a grand evening finale with the girls dancing, performing their Street Theatre, singing an emotive song about joining together and taking part in a Body Percussion Performance
