Uniform

Girl wearing the Centenary PoloshirtGirls can choose items from a range of comfortable, practical and stylish guiding wear. Each section has its own 'look' which girls love, and wearing it gives them a sense of belonging. Prices are reasonable and it is sometimes possible to buy items second hand – ask your daughter's Leader for details. Guiding wear is also ethically produced, and we are working hard to increase the number of products manufactured from recycled materials - we already stock a fleece made from recycled plastic bottles!

How to buy

We have four Girlguiding Scotland Shops in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen. There are also six volunteer-led shops or 'depots' around Scotland. Both Shops and Depots are a great source of advice on what girls need for guiding. Ring our Edinburgh Shop at Girlguiding Scotland on 0131 225 3483 to find your nearest one. Alternatively, you can order Scottish Goods from our online shop, or by phone from our Parents and Families Catalogue, which also features other products such as gifts. To obtain your free copy of the catalogue, please call 0131 225 3483.

Why buy directly from Girlguiding Scotland Shops, Depots and Online Shop?

Some school uniform and sports shops sell Guiding wear but we urge you to buy directly from our own depots and shops so all profits go back into supporting national and local guiding, rather than into commercial businesses.

Rainbows' clothes

Our most colourful section has a fun range of clothing to match. Girls love wearing it and it gives them a sense of belonging to a group. All items are reasonably priced, durable and machine washable, so are perfect for all the exciting and energetic activities girls get up to at Rainbows.

Where do badges go?

Rainbows usually wear their Promise badge pinned on the right of their top. Other badges are worn at the bottom of the Rainbow top, or on the pocket of the Rainbow tabard.

Brownies' clothes

Brownies can choose from a selection of stylish and practical items, including hooded jackets, leggings, T-shirts and gilets. Girls love their section wear, and it gives them a sense of belonging. All items are reasonably priced, durable and machine washable.

Where do badges go?

Most Brownies wear their Promise badge on the right and their Six badge and interest badges on the gilet or sash.

Guides' clothes

Guides can choose from a selection of stylish and practical tops that they can team with their own trousers, jeans, skirts or shorts. All items are reasonably priced, durable and machine washable.

Where do badges go?

Most Guides wear their Promise badge on the right of a guiding top. Girls often sew interest badges onto their gilet or a blanket that they take to camp.

Clothing for the Senior Section

Girls and young women in our Senior Section can choose from a range of practical and stylish tops, some of which they've had a hand in designing themselves. They can team the tops with their own trousers, jeans, skirts or shorts. All items are reasonably priced, durable and machine washable, so are perfect for all the exciting and energetic activities the Senior Section get up to, as well as for just chilling out.
