* In 2011 Girlguiding Scotland had more than 58,000 members and supporters in Scotland. In the UK there are about 600,000 members and supporters.

* We are a charity recognised by the Office of the Scottish Register (OSCR) and are funded by membership subscriptions and through our trading arm.
* There are almost 10,000 trained adult volunteers in Scotland. There are over 4000 girls wanting to join Units on waiting lists because we need more adult volunteers.
* The adult members and helpers in Scotland give 1 million voluntary hours a year – that's equivalent to 550 full-time jobs.

* In 2009 there were 10,221 Rainbows (age 5+), 23,603 Brownies (age 7+), 14,394 Guides (age 10+) and 2,150 Senior Section young women ( age 14+) and 40 Lones in Scotland.
* About one in three eight-year-old girls in Scotland is a Brownie.
* Girls and Young Women today participate in a wide range of activities such as DJ-ing, water sports, singing, dancing, arts & crafts and much more.
